The Latest
28 February 2006
Saturday's surf session was the best I'd had in a long time. I spent over 6 hours in the water throughout the day and basically surfed my brains out in Delray. Lots of great rides on the new cruiser. Sunday's surf fell flat but by then I was so sore and sun burnt I was in no shape to make it to the beach anyway so it was a lazy Sunday with an hour yoga class instead of surfing.

Monday's surf was supposed to be phenomenal in scale but the forecasted 10-12 ft waves waves were more like 4-6 ft chop, and mushy at that. Today, looks flat unless your up coast like my buddy Ramil (bastard). Jupiter is going off I guess but I'm still stuck here in the office. We all have our days I guess, and that's the latest.

Flat And Poor Once Again
21 February 2006
Yesterday's swell was like most of the flaky people from South Florida, it never showed up at all. No phone call or apology. It looks like we'll have to wait for the weekend to have another chance of some surf. So, until then it's back to Yoga.

Chipotle!
20 February 2006
That's right, I found a Chipotle here in Boca! Guess what I'm having for lunch today. So, exciting. It's about time they put one in South Florida.

iHome
17 February 2006
Heather got me an iHome for Valentine's day! It's pretty sweet, you can plug your iPod into it and wake to whatever you want. Thanks Heather ;)

Fun Chop
17 February 2006
Had a great chop session yesterday on the new board. 3-4 foot wind chop in Delray and lots of good rides. Looks like we've got some meager sets today but I may still head out after work for a look. The weekend holds the same in the way of surf though I'm hoping it picks up by Sunday.

The Cruiser
16 February 2006
I shot out of here as fast as I could yesterday and headed home to pick up the cruiser and then off to the beach in Boynton. Solo session for about an hour or so on some mushy sets but it was great to give it a run. I'd say it rides like a Cadillac CTS, nice and smooth.

Huge Congratulations To Nicole!
15 February 2006
It finally happened, Harold (guy on the right) popped the big question yesterday on St. Valentines day. My friend Nicole is now officially unavailable (jk). Congratulations Nicole and Harold, let me know when the party is and I'll try and fly up to Cincy to celebrate!

It's here, it's here, it's finally here! Check out my new board. So sweeeeet, I can't wait to get it in the water.

Whoo Hoo, Stoked Once Again
13 February 2006
At 4:00 pm I got the call, the new board is in! Unfortunately the urge to hit the beach was too great so I rushed to the beach for an hour surf session before dark. Not bad but small and crowded. So I'll be so anxious to get to the surf shop tomorrow to pick up the cruiser I may take a super early lunch. Hopefully there will be some minor swell left in the water for which to try it out. Feeling like a kid on Christmas Eve!

Skunked
13 February 2006
6am and I wake up to try and hit the early set before work. I reach the beach at 7 hoping to find exactly what was there yesterday and ...nothing. Little knee high rollers and 39 degree weather. Too cold to suit up for such small waves. The boys got in the water today after I left. Maybe we'll see another swell come through mid week (keep your fingers crossed). Also, I should be getting a new board later this week. A beautiful 8'4" Robert August (Endless Summer) Surftec longboard. Virtually unbreakable! It's about a week or so late, but when I get it you'll see one happy D.

Finally!
13 February 2006
Yesterday's early wave check surprised me with perfect 3-4 waves at Delray. Finally, I was able to surf once again. There were three of us in the water for about 15-20 minutes then the zoo arrived and it was pandemonium. Crowded surf but enough room for everyone. Lots of fun lefts even in the cold temperatures (51 degrees). I stayed in the water from 11am until around 2:30pm when it began to get mushy. It felt soooo good to get back in the water.

Poor Surf Outlook
8 February 2006
It looks as though we're not going to be getting much in the way of surf over the next week or so. We're due to get some minor 2 foot wind swell tomorrow sometime if we're lucky. My new board has yet to arrive from Boca Surf and sail so I'm pretty much out of luck. Two weeks out of the water.

Tyler's Getting Old
6 February 2006
Happy birthday big guy (yesterday). Tyler Martin is 12! Just kidding he's 28, catching up with you're truly.

Groundhog Day
2 February 2006
Lack of news guys, sorry. It's been a rough few weeks and I'm just waiting for the annoyances and bad news to stop. Not yet I guess since, yay, now it's tax time and guess what, after buying a new house and paying over 10k in taxes this year I STILL owe! You federal bastards. That, amongst an entire slew of other shit, is producing one ulcer after another.
