It's Gonna Be Cold!
26 January 2006
Here goes nothing. Looks like Heather and I are heading up to New York this weekend. Also looks like I'll be missing some decent surf while I'm gone too. So, everyone, have a great weekend and I'll see you again on Monday.

Call Me Lazy - SmugMug
23 January 2006
Alright, I finally broke down and got a smugmug page. It would often take me days or even weeks to update or get up some photos to the album. Now, I can have photos (and high quality ones at that) up in a matter of minutes. So check out my new SmugMug page here. I'll continue to update this news column and keep all notified of new photo albums, etc.

Jellyfish Love Me
23 January 2006
Good weekend if you were in the mood for some decent wind chop and baby man-o-wars. Surfed all weekend long and am now dealing with after effects of swimming with the jelly youngsters. Fun! At least I was able to surf with the fish, now that it's finally back from the shop. It took so long to repair, the repairs were free!

Still Bummed
18 January 2006
I still feel like a kid who lost his favorite toy. I now only have one board in the house since my fish is still in the shop getting the nose repaired. Hopefully I'll be able to find something this weekend to replace the long board but we'll see.

Long Board Sadness
16 January 2006
Delray beach was host yesterday to 8-12 ft. waves of immense proportion. There was a quiet humbleness in the line-up for sure. Lots of big waves and not too many takers. After a 20-45 minute paddle out to the lineup you were lucky to catch a ride without being seriously worked. After few hours I made the unwise decision of changing up my board to the longboard, which in turn was snapped in two by a monster 12 foot wave. So my baby is now broken - a good excuse to buy a new longboard I guess.

Friday Hookey
16 January 2006
Dan, his buddy Ernesto and I took the day off of work to head north to Sebastian Inlet to surf all day. Powerful head high sets and load of bad wipeouts. Tough day to surf but was well worth it. I was crowned King Wipeout after a huge sand-filled shore pounder slammed me about three times on the bottom.

Choppy Chop
11 January 2006
Yesterday's surf session was extremely choppy and fairly rideable. Some incoming sets were in the chest high range though it was tough to catch at times. Looks like more of the same for today.

Surf's Up In Delray
10 January 2006
Looks as though we've got semi-organized wind chop in store for today. Lunchtime run home to fetch my shorty board is a must. See you in the water!

Skype and a Long Lost Friend
9 January 2006
My old friend Elton just got in touch with me today. He's a mate from way back when I used to live on Tortola, BVI. Now living in Cape Town, South Africa and it seems like he loves it there. He turned me on to a free internet voice chat software called Skype. I spoke to him for over 20 minutes absolutely free! Yeah, a 20 minute phone call to South Africa for free. It was great to hear from him again!

Surfed Out
9 January 2006
Yesterday and basically all weekend I surfed up in Jupiter. By the end of both days I was completely surfed out. Loads of long rides on waist to chest high sets. Jupiter's paddle out was just the weekend exercise I needed. A wetsuit was a must though as the water and air temperature was very chilly.

Chronicles of Narnia!
5 January 2006
If you haven't seen this yet, you should... what!

Happy Birthday!
5 January 2006
Danny Boy turns a whopping 30 today! Happy birthday Dan Richichi, you're now officially old (I'll be right there with you next year). El Flaco rules!

Another Year Come and Gone
3 January 2006
The long weekend is finally over and back to reality. New years was fairly calm and mild this year as Heather and I spent it at a small party in Delray with Dan and Mary. The festivities were held at Christine's house off of Atlantic. I'll try and get some photos up by the end of the week.
