Finally
30 June 2005
Last day here in the office until the 11th of July. So, obviously there's
not going to be much in the way of updates and news for the next few days.
So take care all I'll catch up to you when I get back. Surf's up son's
a' bitches! |

That's What I'm
Talking About!
29 June 2005
Yes, off shore winds return to Nicaragua. This
shot alone is enough to
get any surfer excited!
|
 |
Local Wind Chop
29 June 2005
Last night brought us some 3ft wind chop here in Delray. Nice. It looks like
more of the same today so if you're in the area, grab your board and hit
the waves. |
 |
Three Days!
28 June 2005
Ok, ok, enough with the countdown, I know. I just can't wait to get the hell
out of here and go surfing! I spent 2 hours last night on the Indo
Board just
to sharpen the skills. |

Murrays Saves The
Day
27 June 2005
I hate it when certain companies drop the ball. I ordered an Aquapac
Keymaster, so I can keep some
valuables with me while surfing, last week from an unnamed company. I ordered
it priority mail so that I could ensure I'd have it for my trip to Central America
later this week. I just heard from them today letting me know that it was out
of stock and would not arrive until Friday. Needless to say I was pretty pissed
about it. So I told them to "cancel the mother fucking order" and placed
an order with Murrays.com.
They not only ensured me that it was in stock but also made special arrangements
for me to receive my package by the 29th! Awesome! Just a quick thanks to Susan
at Murrays.com for
her immediate help. Thanks again! |

Short Surf Trip
To Ft. Pierce
27 June 2005
Saturday's trip north to Ft. Pierce for surf was a good bet. 2-3 ft. waves with
the occasional 4 footer rolling through and lining up nicely on a gorgeous sunny
day. The peak was packed with about 150 surfers but everyone made room for one
another. It was pretty consistent most of the weekend and the lineup was about
200 yards long. I had to give the fish one last run before Costa Rica on Friday. |

Time For A Guinness
24 June 2005
It's Friday, it's getting closer and closer to 5 o'clock. I think it's
time
for a Guinness. Have a good weekend everyone. Happy surfing! |

Planning A Road
Trip
24 June 2005
Just a quick heads up, I'm considering coming home (Cincinnati) the first weekend
of September. I think I make a road trip out of it in the process and save on
a flight and rental car. Last time the rental cost me more than the damn ticket. |

Forecasting Surf
For The Weekend
24 June 2005
Looks like we're about to have some surf this coming weekend. Both WetSand and
Surfline are calling for 3-4 ft. waves and fair conditions for most of
the weekend. Nice! |
 |
Seven Days And
Counting
23 June 2005
Not long till the big trip. It looks like we'll be missing the end of
a huge
swell in Central America when we arrive next Friday. I can't wait.
I spent about 3 hours last night adding some fiberglass to two of my
boards making sure any cracks or dings are repaired before I make any
new ones in Costa/Nic. Here's
what it looked like on Tuesday. Sweet! |

It's Been 10 Years!?
22 June 2005
"Son of a bitch" - those were the words I muttered to myself when getting
my friendly invite last night to the Lynchburg-Clay Class of 1995, 10 year
reunion. Looks like they tracked me down, dammit! I wish I could go though,
it sounds like it would be a laugh. |
 |
Pleasant Little
Surprise
22 June 2005
Sweet! A small north east swell came in last night producing some waist
to chest high rollers (though few and far between). Dan, Mary and I headed
out to take advantage of that little nugget. The surf session only lasted
an hour but it was great and really good to get back in the water. |

Monday, Yup It's
Monday
20 June 2005
Not feeling too quick this morning. The weekend was pretty good, plenty
of beach time/ pool time/ rum time. I've got a new photo album in the works
from the wedding and the overall weekend. Hopefully I'll have a chance
sometime today to get it up. |

Nightmare Vacation
17 June 2005
A great Friday afternoon time waster (if you have time to waste). Enjoy! |
 |
Is It Happy Hour
Yet?
17 June 2005
Friday again at last. Looks like I'll be heading up to Port St. Lucie over
the weekend for a beach wedding. Fun. Now all I have to do is make it through
today… |

Flat And Poor Conditions
16 June 2005
The next week shows nothing on the wetsand swell forecast and Surfline's
forecast isn't much better. Looks like we're out of luck. Looks like no
surfing until Costa Rica. |
 |
And The Winner
Is
16 June 2005
The phallic logo awards. Check
out who made the list. |
 |
No Surf
14 June 2005
Once again we're left with no surf at all. The countdown to Costa Rica
continues. Currently the winds are onshore but should turn back to nice
offshore by the time we get there! |

Weekend Surf Recap
13 June 2005
Friday's quest for waves was met by a washing machine of foam and un rideable
surf. After paddling for two hours I finally gave up after catching only
two waves. Saturday was a beautiful clean up session with some chest high
waves on the outside. Still a little mushy but overall, a lot of fun. Sunday's
surf was practically non existent though Boca held some tiny rollers to
play on for an hour or so. |
 |
Oops!
10 June 2005
Talk about a bad layout… check
this out. Interesting title for a magazine don't you think? |
 |
Old Friends
10 June 2005
Got a chance to hang with my old buddy Jay from Cincinnati last night.
Good to see you again man. He's in for the weekend with family so it's
up to me to show him the sites (even if it's pouring down rain because
of tropical storm Arlene). |
 |
Major Wind Chop
10 June 2005
Wow, that was a tough paddle out yesterday. Massive amounts of gnarly white
water, heavy chop and constant wind. After paddling for a half an hour
I still never made it to the outside sets so I settled for the brutal beating
on the inside. Still caught a few little rides though it wasn't worth the
effort. |

Seriously Freaky!

Real life zombie video game. This will freak you out. |

Waves, We Have
Waves
9 June 2005
Keep your eyes on the webcams today. I'll be in the water around 5… where
I'm not sure yet. We'll see what beaches hold up the best surf. |
 |
Newsletter Hell
8 June 2005
It's that time of month again when Native Remedies' monthly newsletter
has to go out so… bear with me. |
 |
Gimme' Some Money
7 June 2005
I got mouths to feed yo! Ok, just one… mine. As you can see I added a
donate button on the bottom left of this page. It's a direct deposit to
my PayPal account
so feel free to send me all the money you want. Yeah, I know PartyBoy has
it up on his site as well but mine is better because it goes to a worthy
cause. Me. |

Countdown
7 June 2005
24 more days to Costa
Rica/Nicaragua and big glassy, barreling waves. |
 |
WetSand's Got My
Hopes Up Again
6 June 2005
I just checked out WetSand for
this week's surf forecast only to find that it's calling for a building
weekend up to 3-5 on Sunday starting Thursday morning with a solid 2 foot
swell. After the last huge disappointment from WetSand I can't get too
excited about it but it's definitely something to keep an eye on! |
 |
Sun Burnt On A
Cloudy Day
6 June 2005
That old familiar burn on my shoulders was felt this morning after surfing
in Boca for a couple hours yesterday with Ramil and Thanh-Ha. 1-2 footers
with the occasional 3 footer rolling through. Hopefully they're still be
some surf left for a quick after work session but we'll see. |
 |
Back In The Water
4 June 2005
Ah, a nice little surf session today on the long board. Ramil and I checked
out Delray for a while and then I headed up to Boynton to give it another
shot. The rides were short but it was great to get back in the water. Crossing
my fingers for tomorrow morning. |
 |
Overcast Fridays
3 June 2005
Blah, blah, blabbidy blah. Rainy and humid as hell down here. Let's hope
it clears up a bit over the weekend, though somehow I doubt it. |
 |
Desperate For Surf
3 June 2005
Well, fellow surfers, the desperate times have hit us here in South Florida.
It looks like we may have some minor wind chop (and by minor I'm talking
about 2 feet) late Saturday evening to Monday. Sunday morning's even calling
for 2-3 ft. chop. Keep your eyes on the local cams to see if it's even
rideable. |
 |
The Da Vinci Code
2 June 2005
Check out the new
movie coming out next year! It looks like Tom Hanks will
be playing Robert Langdon and Audrey Tautou from Amelie will be playing
Sophie Neveu, sweet. Based on the book The
Da Vinci Code, by
Dan Brown. I can't wait. |
 |
Rain And More Rain
2 June 2005
At least I'm busy as hell here in the office. Lack of time equals lack
of news for the site and it's been raining for the past three days. Fun.
Absolutely no waves to report so the count down continues to July. |
