Alright readers here goes. I've set up a blog here on DamienKomala.com for friends and family. The main site page will be redesigned and the old site moved to another area of the site. So for the latest news and updates on the uncanny life of Damien, bookmark this page. So for now that will serve as the primary news column for me. There are still a few bugs I have yet work out but the column seems to run smoothly. Any questions or concerns just drop me a line at the usual place.

In the next few weeks I'll be redesigning the site and moving some things around. More than likely it will no longer have a running news column. I'll find some other way to update you guys as to what's going on but I think I'll focus the site on design work, etc. Sorry for the inconvenience and upcoming lack of news in general. Don't worry too much, now that I'm single and most of my friends are married, I doubt there'll be too many things to write about anyway. The surf season is almost over so most of my news will be bitching about how bad the surf is. So for now the site is at a standstill. A New Tattoo

Over the past couple of months I've been staring at this design I found for a great tattoo, I even went so far as to Photoshop the design on my shoulder to see what it may look like. So on Friday, after returning from the gym I decided it was the perfect weekend to get a new tat (no upcoming surf for at least a week). Here it is, a big black dragon on my left deltoid. I know Mom, it's too big but it's completely covered by a t-shirt.

You know what, the news column will be running even thinner for a while, if at all. It seems to be the source of more aggravation than is necessary. It may be time to redesign the site all together but we'll see. So, to all those who read it, sorry if it's upset you or offended you in any way and sorry to those whom read this to find out what's up with me. So the word of the day kids is - Fuckit!

Waves Are A' Firing

With the recent storm system sitting off the coast of South Florida the beaches are once again alive with wind chop. Yesterdays little session consisted of surfing locally in Boynton with the longboard. Lots of long lefts on somewhat mushy waves but it was good to be in the water. Thanks to daylight savings time I was able to remain in the water for a good two hours before dark. Gotta love it.

Weekend In South Beach Survived

After surfing all day on Saturday in Delray I decided it was time to get the hell out of here so I ventured down to Mark's place in South Beach. After several bottles of scotch and tequila we headed out to the Delano. From there to some Irish bar just before they closed. It was a blur and I'm pretty sure I woke up Sunday morning/afternoon still drunk. Only today am I beginning to feel back to normal... somewhat anyway.

What Happened To The Waves?!

The surf as of late has been as lake-like as it gets around here over the past 4 days and the upcoming week looks just as bad. What the hell? Looks like surf season's over all ready and we really didn't see too many good swells. My boards are gathering dust. I guess it's time to get back into the gym more than once a week and focus on making Yoga practice a couple times a week. Hopefully that'll settle me down a bit.

Well the start of April marked the beginning of a long and shitty weekend. The weather was nice but unfortunately I wasn't doing very well. It seemed I gave too much thought and attention to someone and in the end it blew up in my face... of course. We've all been there and we've all been hurt. It's just something we have to get through and to my friends back home, yeah, you were right.
