So this weekend I finally pulled the trigger on getting a vehicle to haul my surf boards to the beach. After searching forever and saving up some coin I decided on a Land Rover. I know, I know… they always seem to have issues but when it comes to the engine and size it’s a tank.

This one’s got 82k miles on it but it’s actually in great shape for a 2001. Total cost of this monster was $8500 including taxes, fees, etc. Not too bad really for what used to be a 30k+ SUV.

Interior is all leather, 6 disk CD player, V8, dual sunroofs, power everything, heated seats, cruise control and all time 4wd. Plenty big enough for the surfboards. Not so good on gas mileage but you guys know how much I drive so it shouldn’t be an issue.

Overall I’m pretty stoke to finally have the means to get back in the water. Took it in for an oil change yesterday and an overall service ($140). They said there’s a small oil leak around the pan but it’s nothing to get concerned about.
