Happy Cinco de Mayo!
Friday’s finally here and it looks as though the office is primed for a few drinks for happy hour right after work. My stomach’s still not back to 100% from Wednesday night but I’m sure I’ll be able to get a few drinks down. It’s Cinco de Mayo after all – so grab a case of Corona, bottle of Petron and enjoy Mexican Independence Day!  ... Permalink

Playing Hookie In Sebastian
That’s right boys and girls, I decided to take the day off with my buddy Dan and head up to Sebastian (2 hours north) for a day long surf trip. The initial session at the Sebastian Inlet was brutal. Heavy head high drops and a consistent beating across the sandbar. Fun! I definitely caught my share of the beatings so we decided to head about a half a mile north to “Spanish House”. Delray Was Bombing
Whew, that was a shoulder burner. Delray was host to some nice size swell last night. Most sets were in the 4-6 ft. range though some standout sets were 8+ and monsters. Big and nicely lined up lefts on the outside. What a ride too, I caught five decent ones with one or two that are meant for dreams. The drop was tough as the wind made it tough to get down the face but once you were on it, you were in for a treat! Long open face (if you caught the shoulder) and plenty of room to carve....
