Back To Ohio

Finally it’s Friday and I’m very ready to get the hell out of here. Half a day in the office, the off to the airport back to Cincinnati for the upcoming weekend/holiday week. I haven’t been home for more than 24 hours in over a year. It’ll be good to see the boys again. Tyler and Surface are picking me up at the airport around 8 and then we’re heading out to a sushi restaurant where my buddy Eli is currently working. From there we’ll probably visit my old bar and get the first round of drinking under our belts.

Saturday is the huge cabrewing trip. The number in attendance should be around 60 which means 30 canoes of drunken 20 something’s drifting down the Little Miami River. Should be a blast. I’m taking both my digital and the surf cam so I’ll have some decent shots. I also packed the water canon, beer cuzie on rope (so I don’t dump my beer) and yes, I’m even bringing the Ukulele.

Sunday I plan on visiting my Mom at some time and Monday’s the big bash at Surface’s house. Multiple kegs and probably close to 100+ people. Luckily this is where I’ll be staying for the week so no worries there. The rest of the time is pretty much up in the air but I’m sure it’ll be a good time. So, just a few more hours here in the office and my vacation officially begins.

Everyone have a great holiday and I’ll see you when I get back. I’ll make photos available as soon as I can.

Flower, know that you’ll be on my mind the entire time. I miss you and I hope you have a relaxing and enjoyable weekend.

The Train Wreck

Well at this point I feel like I’m in the middle of a train wreck with this whole thing. Flower’s got so much to deal with right now it’s enough to make you’re head explode. It’s so frustrating not being able to do anything about it and on top of it I’m trying to not be selfish and not get upset. It’s absolutely mind numbing. On one hand I’m so frustrated and disappointed as a boyfriend and on the other I know none of it is her fault and what she has to go through to sort things out is nothing short of gargantuan. It’s hard having a girlfriend who most days is summed up in phone calls, text and instant messages.

I guess if I had one wish right now it would be for Flower’s life to get easier and brighter very soon. She needs it very much.

I Can Hardly Contain Myself

After two long hell days I finally have some good news. Flower’s finally coming back over this afternoon to see me before I leave for home. I haven’t seen her in over two weeks (which is pretty standard if you’ve been following this little saga). Any time I do get to see her is always special so I’m looking forward to it for sure. Now it’s just a matter of surviving the day in the office. Hopefully it won’t be another PureCalm day.

Other than that I’ve developed some sort of an ear ache from a wipeout on Sunday. I hit the water with the side of my head with such force it must have shoved a ton of water in there and my right ear is bugging the hell out of me. I’m sure it’ll go away soon enough, just an example of things not to land on when you’re tossed over the falls.

Looks Like I Can After All

I’m so pissed off right now I can hardly see straight. Flower’s got some work issues to deal with today and it looks like her visit over to see me is once again fucking cancelled. I know she’s a business owner and she’s got alot to deal with but at this point I can’t help feeling so fucking angry. My selfishness is shining through and I can’t help it. This will be the 4th time I won’t be able to see her because of unforseen things.

I’m sorry Flower, I know you had a bad day and I’m sure you’re as upset as I am. I just hope it gets better for you.

I woke up this morning wavering whether or not to bring my yoga stuff to work as she was supposed to get to my house by 6 or 6:30. I decided to bring it in any case just in case she did have to cancel. What’s that have to say about how things are going? Good fucking thing I’ve got PureCalm here, I’m sure Flower needs some about now too.

I can’t wait to go home this coming weekend and get completely trashed for 4 days straight. At this point I need it… bad. Hopefully yoga after work will help calm me down.

Mondays Suck

Thank God it’s Tuesday. Yesterday was simply horrible in almost every way. We all have days like this but this wouldn’t be a very good personal blog if I didn’t write about it. Things to bitch about yesterday:

1. Flower couldn’t come over because of a surprise early doctors appointment this morning.
2. The Jeep smells like mildew because I left the back windows off during a downpour.
3. I had to completely re-comp a color scheme for a site I’ve been working on for over two months.
4. I totally forgot to work on a freelance job over the weekend, luckily the client wanted it done “early this week” so I’m still good to go.
5. NativeRemedies.com was missing some GeoTrust Banner and I caught hell for it.
6. Major changes to the site template were in order, last minute of course. Thanks to Jo for helping me out on that one.
7. No surf (of course).
8. Rain rain and more freaking rain.
9. It wasn’t Friday yet.
10. All of the above pretty much put me in a funk all day.

Today WILL be better… or else I’ll kick it’s ass. At least the sun’s out right now so I can begin to dry the back of my ride out.
