Antique Car Gallery
A couple of weekends ago I had a sunny morning off and since there was no surf I decided to head up to Palm Beach and visit a kind of antique car museum and snap off a few shots. Though they didn’t have the particular car I was looking for some of the photos came out pretty cool. My goal was to shoot some cool angles of the chrome goodness that is the 50’s and 60’s cars for a possible site redesign. I’m still working on the concept so we’ll see if happens or not. In the meantime feel free to check out the photos.... Permalink

Feeling Crispy
Yeah, after what seems like months out of the sun I finally had a chance to spend the entire weekend on the beach surfing my brains out. The drift was pretty bad, north one day and south the next, but it was rideable and definitely caught my fair share. My shoulders are now so sore, tired and burnt – ah it feels good to feel like a surfer once again. Though it was mostly wind chop it did line up occasionally into some semi-clean lefts and rights. Some even bombed in around the shoulder high range on early Sunday morning.... Continue Reading

What You Missed On Sunday
Just checked out ShrimpCreole.com and here’s what you missed on Sunday. Check out their gallery on Shrimps site. This weekend’s surf looks to be fun but for the moment Surfline’s down and out. The server must be updating or something. Three months from today the guys and I will be heading down to Nicaragua for a Central American Surf Trip. Hell yeah, the countdown is beginning. It looks like it’s going to be Dan, Frederico, Johnny, me and a possible handful of others. It’ll be good to have a “guys” surf trip for a change. Surf, drink, eat and sleep!... Permalink

Saturday’s Looking Good
I just checked out Surfline’s surf forecast for the week and it looks like we may actually have something rideable on a day I can finally make it to the beach. 2-3 foot and fair – at least that’s what it says right now. It could change by the time weekend rolls around. It also looks as though it’ll be warm enough to not need a wetsuite as well so that’s always a plus. No more neck rash from the neoprene. I guess all we can do for now is cross our fingers and hope the forecast stays true!... Permalink

Rulon’s Officially A Catholic
Ramil’s little one, Rulon, was baptized over the weekend and yours truly was there to take about 250 photos of the event. There are only about 80 that are worth keeping but you know me, I’ll shoot everything and delete what’s not good. I’m going to put together all of the images on to a disk for him to upload to his SmugMug page soon so keep an eye out.... Permalink

Chilly Evening Surf Session With The Boys
Last night’s surf session was a long time coming. It’s been a while since I’ve been back in the water, cold as it may be but it was well worth it. Waist to chest-high sets rolling in clean and with the chilly offshores the waves just stood straight up. Though most were gnarly close-outs you could occasionally catch a beaded shoulder and zip down the line. What’s best is that all of the boys were out with me. Ramil, Dan, Frederico and Mary (though technically she’s not a boy). It was good to be in the water with friends. We... Continue Reading

Damn It’s Cold
Holy crap it’s cold this morning. Not as cold as you guys up north but 46 degrees is freaking freezing in South Florida. Check this photo I snapped of with my phone this morning on the way to work. When I woke up this morning the weather channel had the temperature at 44 degrees. Luckily the high temperature around noon will be about 65. At least it’s not raining.... Permalink

Awe, That Was Sweet
After a long and odd day at the office I had to pick up some flowers on my way home. Once I got home Katherine was already there in a pretty little maroon dress and dinner on the stove. Tilapia and tomatoes with asparagus. On the coffee table were candles, a fresh martini and some cheese and crackers. It was very sweet and very cool. Thank you sweetie.... Permalink

Happy Valentine’s Day
What a surreal day so far. Trying to go for a haircut over lunch ended up in me stuck in traffic and cussing every single person on the road. I never did find the damn SuperCuts place. When I finally gave up and made it back to the office I ran into Neil and Daniel in the parking lot and hopped in the Civic and headed out to Taco Hell. Daniel missed the Taco Bell entrance so we parked a block away and walked over. I hope things get better than this. At least the weather’s nice.... Permalink
