Alright my back is beginning to feel much better. Not debilitating anymore but it’s still a constant pain, just a bit more dull than recently. I’ve basically had ice on it for about 30 hours (off and on) and that’s helped out tremendously. I doubt I’ll be doing any surfing this weekend but at least it’s not going to keep me out of the sun. Have a great weekend everyone – it’s going to be a lazy one.... Permalink

Wow, I haven’t been in this much pain since I last broke a bone. Sleep was so uncomfortable I probably only got about 3 hours worth. Simple things like rolling over or the typical “tossing and turning” took forever. I think it’s just a pinched nerve as the muscles themselves aren’t really hurting. A hot pack on my lower didn’t help at all and even extra strength back pain medication did almost nothing. It took 5 minutes to put my socks on this morning. Ok, so I went to work, sat in my chair all day and now for some reason I can barely move. I did nothing to overexert myself today but for some reason my lower back is absolutely killing me. I can barely sit upright and once I do get comfortable it’s excruciating to move. I’m hoping it’s just a back spasm and it’ll go away by tomorrow morning. It was bothering me by the end of the day but now it’s almost unbearable. I literally had to crawl across my floor and hoist myself up using the counter top.... Permalink

I’ve been completely overwhelmed with SPAM today. Over 300 messages saying “mail administrator, message undelivered” or “delivery status notification (failure)”. Give it up people, I’m not opening your email… ever. Normally I can just delete and move on but today’s volume was retarded. C’mon, who’s going to open 300 emails with the same or similar titles. This is getting ridiculous. I’d report them but that would mean work for me. Going through each one and adding the domains to the “ban” list and even that’s not guaranteed to work. Yeah, I got bored last night and finally got around to the redesign. There are still some minor tweaks here and there to deal with but overall I’m digging the new look. Any feedback would be appreciated if you feel the need to do so. I’m probably also going to add an entire portfolio section for all of my crap since it’s in dire need of updating. Now that I have a much better working knowledge of PHP and advanced CSS things could get interesting. Ah, the things that ramble around in my head without a girlfriend. It always seems... My buddy Ramil turned me on to Archive.org the other day. You can look up almost any band and download live performances in various formats for free. Yeah, free. Look up live performances of Jack Johnson and you’ll find a slew of video download as well as live mp3’s of several songs. Some of the quality really isn’t that great but hey, it’s free. I’ve only had time to check a couple of bands so far but from what I can tell the list is quite extensive. Thanks for the tip Ramil!... Permalink

I had to get down to the beach and get out of the house today. Even though it was 3-4 ft chop I still spent about 4 hours in the water. Pat and I surfed S4-S5 in Delray and walked the beach about 5 times. By 4:00 I was dead tired. Saltwater helps the sinuses while in the water but once you’re out, it’s all over. This cold better pass pretty soon as I’m completely fed up with feeling like crap. At least the weekend wasn’t a complete wash – and I’ve got the tan to prove it.... Permalink
