Ahhhhhh, What The F@#k!!!!!!
Sorry for the language but I’m so irritated right now I can barely contain myself from throwing something through the window! I decided to speed my laptop up this morning by running an application called Monolingual. Big freaking mistake. It removed critical software files necessary for me to run my primary applications. Dreamweaver, Photoshop and about a half a dozen more. I don’t know the entire extent of the damage as of yet but I’ve been frantically searching the web for answers. The answer is – don’t use Monolingual if you’re running an Intel Mac or MacBook Pro like me. You’ll regret it to no end. Now back to the re-install. Crossing my fingers my research has found me a real answer.  ... Permalink

Mike Doughty
A few years ago I had the chance to see a then little known artist named John Mayer. The crew and I drove up to Columbus (Ohio) to catch the show at a fairly small venue. The show was great but let me get to the point. The opening act was a guy name Mike Doughty. They gave out his album “Skittish” for free as we exited the venue and though I never really thought much of it, I recently came across it while cleaning out my closet and decided to load it up to my iPod. Surprise, it’s actually... Continue Reading

No More Daylight Savings Time!
Whew, I’m glad that’s over with. I hope they pass that bill that completely removes daylight savings time but until then I’ll enjoy today’s little victory over the length of my day. Getting home at dark every day makes for a very boring week, no after work surf sessions and it really never feels like I’ve got any time to do anything. Wish I could say I got some surf time in this weekend but it never really picked up south of Jupiter and I was completely unmotivated to drive up north for a few waves. I’d have to blame... The Sun Is Shining
Well,it’s finally Friday and thus brings us to the end of a very busy week. Tight deadlines and no time for blogging. Sorry about that. The surf seems to be picking up and should peak sometime on Sunday. Tomorrow should be rideabe if happy hour doesn’t infect me with a gnarly hangover. We’ll see how that one pans out. I’ve got a wine party to attend at Christine’s house with the usual crew… Dan, Mary, Till and the lot of misfits. It should be enough to keep me from going out of my mind with boredom. Oh how often I... Continue Reading

We Survived!
Perfect weather for being 6,500 feet off the ground. The flight to Jacksonville for our meeting was pretty smooth except for those shining moments when someone jerked the stick around. The flight up was fairly uneventful aside from the occasional forest fire and flying over Cape Canaveral (NASA). It was great to see Craig again and I hope we get a chance to work together on his upcoming project. I took photos along the way of surf spots (when I could) and various other things. Bill skirted the coast for the last 20 minutes of the flight so the sunset... Continue Reading

The Big Meeting In Jacksonville
Whoo hoo, finally we get to fly up to Jacksonville to meet with an old friend about a possible web project. Bill is flying a handful of us up in a little single engine Cessna which should be pretty cool. I’m bringing along the camera just for good measure. It’ll be really cool to see my old friend Craig once again. I haven’t seen this guy in since he moved down to Jacksonville a year or so before I moved down. Craig’s they guy in the middle in the maroon shirt. Looks like we’ll be heading out to the airport... Continue Reading

Whole Lotta Nothin’
The surf’s looking pretty bleak for the next week or more. Surfline’s forecasting some serious flatness maxing out around the 2 ft. range for the next several days. Good thing I was able to get some serious water time in over the weekend; it looks like it’s going to be some time before that’ll happen again. Today’s about as big as it’s been since Sunday that’s not saying too much. 1-2ft slop and from the looks of the cams it’s barely rideable if at all. Here’s to dreaming about Nicaragua’s offshore breezes and head high glassy rollers…. only a few... Continue Reading
