Yup, that’s right, Mom’s coming back down to visit and then off to Marco Island for a week or so. Guess that means I’ve got to clean up around the house eh? Looking forward to seeing you Mom. The place should be cleaner than it’s been since I moved in, haha. Trish, my hot neighbor, said she’d professionally clean the place for the big visit. It’s nice having a hot neighbor there who also owns her own house cleaning business....

…or two. I don’t spend much time on MySpace anymore for one reason or another but from time to time I still get emails and comments from friends. A few days ago I got a message from my friend Cianna letting me know that someone out in California was using MY photos on his MySpace profile! At first I was just completely shocked but then that quickly turned to anger. What the hell? I guess I should be flattered but it just seemed wrong in so many ways. So I took it upon myself to contact the culprit and not...

Yeah, it was a good weekend. Two solid days of surf and sun. Saturday’s surf session started at Spanish River in Boca where it was big and punchy. 6+ footers rolling in and power sandbar breaks. Fun. After the first round Dan and I headed up to Delray where the size remained but the beatings were less severe. Surfed till I could surf no more. Sunday was Delray once again. It was a little junky and much smaller than Saturday but it was still fun. 4 hours in the water there and I was done for the weekend. The winds...

Yeah, it’s Friday once again and about the only thing that’s going on is the slight chance of getting some surf over the weekend. Surfline’s calling for 1-3 footers on Saturday and 2-4 on Sunday. Not too much get excited about but at least it’s something to get me to the beach. The weather’s pretty much going to be scattered showers but I love surfing in the rain. So I’ll wish you a happy Friday and bring on the weekend, baby!...

Last night, despite my mood, exhaustion and the creeping darkness I hit Delray for a couple waves right after work. Hauled ass home and grabbed the log (Robert August Longboard) and met my buddy Pat down on the beach. The winds died down but the sets were still coming in. The paddle out took about 10 minutes of solid paddling and/or swimming when a set came through and I had to bail off the log. Finally I made it to the outside, about 250 yards out and caught my breath. First set that came through after that I was on...

I recently installed a free item on the site that allows me to see what kind of traffic I get and even cooler, I get to see where all of you are coming from. The map above is the traffic report from the last few days which is pretty cool. From San Leandro, California to Hawly, Pennsylvania and a few places in between. I even had one hit last week from Dublin, Ireland. I only know a few people across the pond but it’s cool. Welcome to my little world!...

Talk about a rough Monday (yesterday). I woke up at the normal time and began packing all of my stuff for the day ahead. Surfboard, board shorts, towel, hoodie, beach bag, lunch, computer… all the while I’m making coffee and breakfast and getting ready. But before I could get to work I had one nagging stop in Boynton at my soon to be ex-drycleaners. The second I walked in I knew the dumb and ignorant look on the guys face that this was going to be a pain in the ass. Two weeks ago they lost a pair of $98...

I finally found a local sports bar dedicated to The Ohio State Buckeyes. Bru’s Room, right around the corner from me has countless big screen tv’s and when OSU plays, 95% of them are tuned in to the big game. My neighbor and I headed over there on Sunday to catch the game but by the time we got there, there wasn’t an open seat in the house. Ohio State easily moved to 5-0. It’s good to be in a place surrounded by Ohio-ans especially in a sea of Gator fans. I got the biggest grin just driving through the...

Well the weekend was good. Sorry for the lack of updates over the last few days. Surf picked up on Sunday and I hit the beach in Delray for a few hours. Lots of drift and lots of paddling. The hangover didn’t help too much either but I battled through it. Later on Sunday evening I hit Boynton Inlet and gave my shoulders a rest as it’s a fairly protected spot. Tonight looks like Palm Beach at Flagpole though the wind’s really cranking so I hope it’s not too blown out. We’ll see....
