I Hate Daylight Savings Time
I can’t tell you how much this daylight savings time is throwing me off…but I’ll try. Even though they made it a week later this year it’s still bunch of crap. It’s dark when I get out of work which totally negates any chance of an after work surf session, not that I’ve really had the opportunity to do that. Yeah, it feels nice out like I slept in but I still wake up at the same time, roll over, look at my clock and know that I’ve still got another hour to sleep…but can’t. I can see the sun peeking though the curtains like it’s noon outside. It sucks. Why do we still have daylight savings time anyway? What the hell are we saving, not our sanity that’s for sure. I hit the beach around 11 and surfed my brains out for over four hours. Lots of big drops, massive closeouts and some serious screamers down the line. Big 6-10ft walls of surf. I... Continue Reading

Hurricane Noel
Well, it’s officially “hurricane” Noel and it seems to be heading away from the US coast right now but before it does, we’re all hoping it leaves us some goodies. Like a surfer’s Santa Clause or something, we’re wishing Noel sends some organized swell our way. Surfline’s calling for some incredible surf heights but with the super strong on-shore winds it’s been blown out and really drifty. The weekend should be, at the very least, rideable and at the very least, give me something productive to do outside. Surf’s up! (we hope)  ... Permalink
