Non-Stress Christmas
Well, I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas holiday off. I spent most of my day doing absolutely nothing but sometimes that’s just what you need to do. We had some decent surf throughout the weekend but yesterday just fell a little short… and weak. I surfed Delray on Sunday and West Palm on Monday and both days were pretty good. Delray was breaking about 8ft on the standout sets and around 4-6 on the average sets. Of course I had to catch a bomb on the outside with the longboard and man was it worth the wait for that standout set. Lots of smaller rides as well. West Palm on Monday was glass and peeling though it sometimes doubled up on itself and made it difficult to catch a good ride. Pat joined me for about an hour or two. Un-crowded and fun. The water was so crystal clear on Monday you could see the bottom from 10 ft up. My old neighbor, Trish, invited me to her Mom’s house for a Christmas dinner on the 24th which was fun. They’re an Italian family so there were some different foods than we’re all used to for Christmas dinner… like... Continue Reading

Merry Christmas Everyone!
I just thought I’d take a quick minute to wish everyone out there a very merry Christmas. Even though I’m no where near my family this year, you’re all with me in spirit. I’m sure most of you wish you were down here in the 80 degree weather and sunshine too. So, be safe everyone and get to your holiday destinations (and back) safe and sound.... Permalink

I’m In!
Yeah, for those of you following along with me I’m finally in my new pad. It’s pretty sweet though I wish I had taken some photos during the move. Too busy I guess and completely distracted. Last week I spent most of the entire week packing, taping, packing and more packing and now I’m glad it’s finally done. Today marks the second day I walked to work which, with the latest weather, is nothing short of spectacular. It’s a crisp 62 degrees right now and it feels awesome outside. The first night in the new place (Monday night) I forgot... Continue Reading

What I’ve learned this Year
Over my first in my 30’s I’ve picked up a few bit of knowledge. Here are some healthy examples To no longer date girls from Myspace.com (yay!) I’ve become a CSS expert (design lingo for Cascading Style Sheet site construction) That owning a condo is not nearly as cool as it sounds. Especially these days. That no matter how many locks you’ve got on your door some dumb shit will take a crowbar and bust it down. Not to drink any kind of water in central American countries…even ice….ever. How to ask for a rum and coke in said countries... Continue Reading

Happy Birthday Sheizka!
Yup, today’s my little sister’s birthday (even though I’m only two minutes older). 31 years ago I shared a womb with her and now we’re miles apart. I’m down in Florida and she’s way up in Columbus, Ohio. Of course, if you’ve been paying attention, you’d also realize it’s my birthday as well. Right now I’m still a little sleepy but I think today’s gonna be a good day. Jo’s taking me out to lunch here in Palm Beach and Trish’s taking me out to dinner at Dada’s in Delray tonight. Will have to hold off on the partying until... Continue Reading

…So What’s Up?
Well, it’s time to spill it I guess since it’s now official. I’m vacating the condo in Boynton Beach for greener pastures. I’ve been looking around at Condos in downtown West Palm Beach for a few weeks and finally found one that I really like. It’s three blocks from the office, two blocks from a Publix (grocery store), five blocks from a movie theater and it’s surrounded by countless bars, restaurants and shops. So, needless to say I’m stoked for the move. No more traffic on the commute to work, I can save miles on my lease and I can... Continue Reading

Love Mornings Like This
Temperature around 60 degrees, not a cloud in the sky and that cool sea air. Nice and refreshing Wednesday morning. Even the traffic this morning was bearable. Over the next few weeks I’ll be making some changes to my life in general and those close to me already know what’s up, but in the meantime I’ve been holding my tongue. One small thing I’ve been trying to pick up once again is golf. Yeah, golf – guess I am getting old. Well, with the constant lack of surf on the weekends and the inability to surf after work this time... Continue Reading

Productive Yet Relaxing
Seems a long time since I’ve had both in one weekend. Productive and relaxing at the same time. I woke up early, yes early, on Saturday morning and began the task of cleaning out my closets of stuff I either no longer use or need in preparation for the upcoming move*. By the time I was done I had a truckload of stuff to drop off at GoodWill including old dress clothes, shoes, bedding, my old guitar amp and much more. My Pathfinder was packed to the ceiling as I drove over to the drop off. It felt really good... Continue Reading

Priceless
My Buddy Tyler sent this to me the other day and I thought I’d share this little nug with all you fine people! “Jack wakes up at home with a huge hangover he can’t believe. He forces himself to open his eyes, and the first thing he sees is a couple of aspirins next to a glass of water on the side table. And, next to them, a single red rose! Jack sits down and sees his clothing in front of him, all clean and pressed. Jack looks around the room and sees that it is in perfect order, Spotlessly... Continue Reading
