A Week Later
Yeah, I know… a full week later and I really don’t have an update for the site. To be honest with you I had a pretty good weekend but really nothing to write home about. Work’s been busy and my evenings have been fairly busy as well. Really just having one of those weeks where it feels like I don’t have any friends around any more. So I’ve just been keeping myself busy with work and little freelance jobs here and there. Good boy during the week and an absolute drunk on the weekends. Not really something to brag about… but that’s what happens when I get bored. I really gotta stop doing that. Feels like I’m looking for the next girl in all the wrong places. Wrong places. Wrong places. Whatever. Sorry for the crappy post.... Permalink

Not A Mucho
Yeah, not a whole lot going on this week. It looks as though the surf is running a bit late but should be building over the next couple days (let’s hope). Other than that just working on a couple freelance projects for my guys in Chicago and LA and staying busy at THAT Agency during the day. Hitting the gym every night this week so far and just generally getting things done. The photo above was the sunset last night. Of course I had to keep taking pics and adjusting my little Canon until I got the right shot.... Continue Reading

Just A Nibble
Around 2:30 yesterday afternoon I got a shocking text message from my old friend Thanh-Ha. It seems her fiancé, Lance, was out surfing in Melbourne and was bitten by a 3-4 foot shark! I’m not clear on the whole story but it’s pretty crazy. He received 10 stitches in his foot at a local hospital for the bite but overall I think he’s ok. Now, I’ve heard of people getting bitten before but never a friend of mine. Melbourne is about 2 hours north of here close to the surf community of Sebastian. Sharks are fairly common up there... Surprise Saturday Surf
A welcome sight on Saturday morning was some minor wind chop. I joined Pat just after noon down in Boca at Palmetto Park. From the beach it didn’t look like much but once you paddled out it was a nice surprise. 2-4 Feet and actually lining up quite nicely. We surfed there for about 2 hours or so and took a break in Delray. It must be spring break down here or something because I’ve never seen that many people on Palmetto Park. Especially not that many bikinis – it was wonderful, haha. A couple of beers and a burger... Continue Reading

Sunfest is Finally Over
Yeah, it was five days of fun, sun and probably too much booze but you know. Pretty much at least one concert every night. Friday night was about the only night where I didn’t really see the show I wanted but hey, you can’t win ‘em all. Saturday night was the Black Crowes which was pretty good. Thursday I saw Good Charlotte while a dozen screaming teanage girls screamed the lyrics to every song whily standing pretty much right behind me. Kind of made listening to the band a bit difficult. Last night Ramil, Rulon (Ramil’s son) and I went... Continue Reading

It’s Cinco de Mayo
Yup, and I’m not drinking! Shocker, I know. After 5 straight days of sunfest I’m pretty much liquored out.... Permalink

Iron Man Rocked!
Loved this movie. More gadgets and streamlined cool than you can possibly imagine. Robert Downy Jr. is witty and a man after my own heart. Well, for the most part anyway. They did a great job telling the story of Iron Man while keeping everything intact. Several times in the theater I just wanted to let out a “hell yeah” which is rare in any movie I watch. I’ve already signed up to receive this on via Netflix the moment it comes out. You ow it to yourself, especially if you were a fan of the comic books as I... Continue Reading

Sunny So Far
Ah, a sunny Friday morning in South Florida. Seems like the weather’s been getting hotter and hotter every day and the sun finally has made it’s way to my side of the building. Looks like it’s about time to buy some floor to ceiling blinds for the place. Up until now I’m sure voyers have had a field day, haha. No big plans for the weekend except hanging out with Trish for the first time in almost a Month (it seems). Happy hour somewhere in West Palm probably but we’ll see. Alrighty, off to work. Happy Friday everyone. Let’s hope... Continue Reading

Fading Surf
Flagpole was about half the size of yesterday’s surf but overall it was still quite fun. Honestly I think I got more rides today than yesterday but I think that was due to the fact that it looked like there was ground swell along with wind chop. Sets would come through and actually line up give the log more room fly. No big closeouts, no over the falls. Doubtful there’ll be too much on tap for tomorrow and according to Surfline we’re not going to see any for at least the next week. C’mon – one of these days... Continue Reading
