Hancock the Movie

Hancock the movie
Mike and I had a chance to watch watch Hancock (right after Hellboy) and it was pretty good. Story line wasn’t bad but they gave away too much in the previews. I probably won’t add it to the collection but I may get via Netflix next year. It probably seemed even better compared to Hellboy, but then again almost anything could be good after that catastrophe.

Hellboy II Sucked

It’s been a while since I’ve seen a movie that sucked this bad but, wow. The first one was alright but this one absolutely awful. They tried to add two love stories with characters no one really cared about. Honestly they forgot what audience they were catering to. Contrived humor and bad jokes it was a chore to watch. They added a new member tot the already mediocre crew of so called super heroes, a collection of smoke in a stupid gas suite.

I’m sure I could go on and on about how bad this movie sucked. One last thing to say.
DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.

STOKED!!! iPhone Day!!

Posted on July 11, 2008

Never thought a gadget could get me this pumped but the new iPhone has done it for sure. After dragging my ass out of bed at 6:30 am I skipped breakfast in leu of coffee and granola bars and hauled ass to the AT&T store across 95. When I got there around 7:15 and there were already 24 people in line. Yeah, I counted them. So I grabbed my stuff and sat down and watched Sprout, a really cool surf movie.

Around 7:30 a woman came around handing out sheets with information on plans and had us all write down what we wanted to get. That way when we got to the counter we would breeze through (though I’ve never seen so many stupid questions asked by other customers at the counter). The also came around and punched your number into a machine to see if you pre-qualify or if you were or were not an existing customer. I actually qualified for an upgrade which saved me $200. Sweet.

Once I finally got to the front of the line it was around 8:15. Not too shabby. The first 15 went in and I was stoked!

Of course they had to try and sell me every add on available… and yeah, I did go ahead and get the BlueTooth earpiece. Well, it comes with the docking station to charge them both so why not. Why not.

The magic moment I walked out of the store with a look of envy from the 70 odd people waiting in line behind me. Priceless. Now it’s just a matter of getting used to using it which won’t take long at all. Plugged it into my laptop and everything synced up automatically. All calendars, all contacts, all emails… everything! Even photos, movies and music all ready to go.

I love this phone. Makes the hair on my arms stand up and I feel like that kid from “A Christmas Story” and his shiny new Red Rider B-B Gun. “You’ll shoot your eye out kid.

Patience…

Has never been one of my strong suites. I finally heard back from my inside guy over at AT&T and it looks like I’ll have to wait with the rest of them. I had asked if he could grab one off of the shelf and hold it for me but it looks like they’ve got two armed policeman guarding the locked storage door where the iPhones are kept. Crazy, right?

He says he doubts they’ll run out and will try and hold one if he gets a chance, still he has no idea how many he actually has back there. Limited access to anyone but the manager I guess.

Two More Days…

iPhone Update

8am is going to a zoo at the local AT&T store on Friday morning. I’m still “awaiting instructions” on how and when I can go and pick mine up. Until then I’m stuck just dreaming about a new toy like a kid a few days from Christmas.

For a quick, well maybe not that quick, product tour hit up Apple’s iPhone page, here.
