Yeah, that’s right, I’m an Obama supporter thru and thru. I’m pretty stoked to have him as our Democratic candidate though I’m also somewhat terrified of the very real possibility of assassination. He’s a very high profile and idealistic candidate that I can’t help but put in the same category as such political greats as John F. Kennedy and I certainly hope he doesn’t go the way of Kennedy in the end. I’m sure there are members of my family that greatly disagree with me but hey, that’s their opinion. This is mine. I’ve got so many friends and family affected by the current economic struggle, myself included at times that at some point there comes time to take another look at how this country is actually being run, not just how we live our lives from day to day. It effects us whether we realize it or not. George Bush is and has always been a complete moron and we all know Cheney’s been pulling the strings since day one. Hell, he’s already won the “Worst President in History” award. McCain, c’mon do we really need a guy like this in the big house? The only reason he chose...

Here are the projected paths of both Gustav and Hanna. Gustav looks to do some serious damage to an already downtrodden New Orleans. Hanna, however looks like she’s going to give us some much needed surf. C’mon baby, just stay off the coast and send some swell our way. We as South Florida surfers are wave starved! My buddy Dan wanted to take a day trip to the west coast to surf Gustav but because it’s a holiday there’s no way for him to get out of work. The Surfline forecast says epic but also mentions the need to be...

Over a month after having the iPhone I’m still playing with it. The App (application) store has grown to thousands upon thousands of games, utilities, applications and software. I’ve gone through about 45 so far myself though admittedly, I only keep a handful of my favorites on the iPhone. There’s a lot of crap in the App Store as well but that’s to be expected. So far only two things are REALLY lacking with the iPhone. The ability to copy and paste, which is being developed by third party vendors, and the ability to receive images within a text message....

My bro Joe Pollitzer is officially a New Zealander. Ok, so he’s not really officially a New Zealander. He made the big move to the other side of the Earth on Friday. Looks like it’s going to be awhile before I get to hang out the kid again. I’m gonna miss you bro, keep in touch and take care of yourself....

Looks like Fay didn’t leave too much to have fun with after she left late last night. I know, sounds like I’m talking about a girlfriend but I’m not. Tropical storm Fay moved across the state yesterday basically dumping us with over 7 inches of rain (which made an interesting walk to work) but as far as swell goes, we’re back down to 1-2ft here in Palm Beach. I guess I can go ahead and take my board off of my car now… Surfline was calling for 4-6 foot surf mid-day today but with the strong offshore winds I doubt...

Looks like the “eye of Fay” just passed over Naples early this morning and it’s pretty much on it’s way. Right now it’s just dumping rain on us and has been all night so I’m sure there’s some serious street flooding this morning. I had to dig out some old boots for the walk to work this morning (I ruined my new brown shoes yesterday walking through the rain) as it’s going to be a wet one. No word from the boss as to whether or not we’re coming in today but I’ve already heard from two coworkers asking if...

So my wireless router has been giving me grief pretty much since I moved to West Palm. Tonight was no exception. As I was trying to write my latest post (not this one) the router was acting up once again. Luckily we have a several networks available to us here in the building and one in particular seems to work quite well from time to time. So, what felt good you may ask? Taking a very large hammer to the damn wireless router. I calmly walked to the closet, grabbed a very large roofers hammer and walked into my room...
