My Ear Buds are Dying

Kind of disappointing but I guess they did last quite some time, though for $30 you’d think they’d last a bit longer. Over the weekend something must have happened to them because now only the left one will actually play anything. Luckily (and strangely enough) the mic on the right side works just fine. Mic as in what you talk into when using the iPhone.
I practically live in these things when I’m not at work. Even when I’m home cooking dinner, working on my site, at the gym, even in the morning with my coffee getting ready I have them on. Especially my morning walk to work, I wear them everywhere. Now it’s just annoying to only hear in mono, it reminds me of when I was a kid with a little transistor radio (yeah, I had one) and only one earphone.
The first thing to go on the bud was the little rubber connection protector at the base of the plug in. Worn out from wrapping up and living in my pocket it finally gave out about a month ago. I have a feeling that was the beginning of the end. Second went the “clicker” that allows you to answer calls, skip songs, stop and play the music. Even when I pinched as hard as I could the damn thing rarely worked. Now with much effort I can end a call but that’s about it.
So once more it’s time to make a trip to the Apple Store to re-up on the earbuds. At least this time it’s only $30.
New Sunset Shots (from Friday Night)

So Friday I decided to get the camera out and try and catch another sunset. Kind of fitting end to a week I’d honestly wish I could forget. The two weeks prior I was pretty much on cloud nine but the bottom dropped out of that one real fast.
I know there are a ton of shots up there and I’ll probably take some time tonight to go through and remove the ones that really don’t need to be up on my SmugMug Page but we’ll see.

Haha, what a great time. Thanks guys for inviting me down to get some stuff off my mind. Over the course of a day we polished off a bottle of Corzo and many many beers. It’s been a while since I’ve been that drunk all weekend but it helped.
The Fist Half is Over

Well the week is half over and now I’m starting to really look forward to relaxing weekend in the sun. This week’s been interesting (and not so easy) so now it’s time to put it all behind me and move forward in a positive light. I plan on spending quite a bit of it just chilling by the pool or on the beach just clearing my head. Sounds nice right?
Meanwhile there’s not much else going on right now. The weather couldn’t get more perfect, hell yesterday morning there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. This morning is just as beautiful and encouraging.
So back to the gym, back to work. Life wouldn’t be life if we never learned anything about ourselves. Thanks to my friends and a special thanks to Flower for being there for me.
keep looking »
