It’s time for Sunfest once again here in downtown West Palm Beach. Lots of great music and food (and drink) to be had. Kind of disappointing but I guess they did last quite some time, though for $30 you’d think they’d last a bit longer. Over the weekend something must have happened to them because now only the left one will actually play anything. Luckily (and strangely enough) the mic on the right side works just fine. Mic as in what you talk into when using the iPhone. I practically live in these things when I’m not at work. So Friday I decided to get the camera out and try and catch another sunset. Kind of fitting end to a week I’d honestly wish I could forget. The two weeks prior I was pretty much on cloud nine but the bottom dropped out of that one real fast. I know there are a ton of shots up there and I’ll probably take some time tonight to go through and remove the ones that really don’t need to be up on my SmugMug Page but we’ll see.... Permalink

Well the week is half over and now I’m starting to really look forward to relaxing weekend in the sun. This week’s been interesting (and not so easy) so now it’s time to put it all behind me and move forward in a positive light. I plan on spending quite a bit of it just chilling by the pool or on the beach just clearing my head. Sounds nice right? Meanwhile there’s not much else going on right now. We met Georgianna and Bryan down in Ft. Lauderdale on Saturday night for a pretty good time. I was a little surprised that it was just little cups of beer everywhere but they did have frog legs and catfish which made my new girl very happy, haha. We made the mistake of finding the (shit) vodka booth and I think we can all agree that was a mistake. Afterwords we hit a little bar in Deerfield for a couple. Well, at least a planned weekend coming up. Saturday we’re heading down to Ft. Lauderdale for the ever popular BeerFest with Georgainna and Brian (and whoever else feels like joining us) which should be a pretty good time. We’ve got VIP tickets so we don’t have to necessarily deal with the masses. I’ll have to curb the binge drinking a bit since it’s all the way down there but I’m looking forward to hanging out with Jo and hubby for a day of beer appreciation. I know, I know, they never really go away but my place faces north and the U-shaped building I live in kind of faces west so half of the year I miss out on sunsets. The seasons do change and the sun does move and to tell you the truth, I’m pretty stoked it’s back. Sun-rises too, just as they peak over the building I catch a nice morning ray or two while sipping coffee on the balcony. Welcome back to the sunny side. (photo above was from last April)... It was another great weekend, so much so I’m feeling somewhat delirious this morning from it all, and not the normal Monday morning fog. Friday Night I stayed in and decided to save all of my energy for the remainder of the weekend. Saturday morning was poolside at Highland Beach with my buddy Vince and his girl Annette. Saturday night I hung out with that stunning girl I met Monday morning and it was fantastic. Yesterday was pretty lazy – had dinner over at a neighbor’s house then back home to completely pass out so overall a great weekend.... Permalink
