DMV Trip: Done

Posted on August 18, 2009

One step closer to being up on two wheels. I had an appointment today with the local shithole, I mean DMV. Luckily I knew to make an appointment, otherwise I’d still be standing in line. I should have brought my earbuds for the iPhone though since the innane conversations I had to endure were really beginning to wear on me. At least the woman behind the counter was nice and didn’t seem to be worn down by her day to day routine.

Anyway, I now have the official motorcycle endorsement on my license (new picture as well) so that’s one step closer. I was also recently in contact with the dealership who has the SV650 pictured in one of my earlier posts. They’re about 2.5 hours away but it’s the exact bike I want. Now it’s just a matter of getting the cash together before it’s sold. Fingers crossed it’ll still be around. I’m down to about two and a half months before the Pathfinder’s gone so here’s hoping.

So What Happened To Trish Rossi?

Trish Rossi

Trish was once my girlfriend and one of my best friends. Over the last few months I’ve been thinking about her a lot. She now has a boyfriend and I’m very happy for her but honestly I’m a bit worried. Weeks ago we had made plans to hang out and catch up and after several attempts of contacting her I have yet to receive one response. No text, phone call or even email. I honestly hope she’s doing OK and nothing bad has happened to her. I still hold a very special place for her, there’s no one I’ve ever met quite like her.

I guess part of me just hopes she reads this and lets me know she’s OK. Even my Mom is concerned, it’s very unlike her to go completely MIA. She’ll always be the one that got away I think, but I know that’s all my fault.

Take care of yourself Trish Rossi.

Archives Are Fixed

Recently I added a script to close comments on my archives and older pages but for some strange reason it was messing up the CSS layout so I turned it off. I’ve also removed the Excerpt feature built into my archives page which only showed a brief bit of copy for each entry.

I’ve fixed that as well so now all of my archives are full posts, images, etc. Take a look through all of my old stuff with ease now. On the right you’ll see a dropdown for every month I’ve been writing on this particular blog. All of the old stuff can be found in the following locations:

The Hangover… and No Not One of Mine

Posted on August 10, 2009

The Hangover

I was really dying to do something other than hang by the pool yesterday. I know we’ve got it pretty good down here but with the total lack of surf the weekends have become somewhat mundane and boring (can’t wait to get a bike for something else to do). So I decided to catch The Hangover, a hilarious movie about a bachelor party in Vegas.

It was awesome, wish I’d seen it earlier. I walked down to Muvico by myself and got a great seat and took it all in. By far the best part of the movie was the rolling credits, which sounds odd but it explains the entire “missing” bachelor party.

Basically none of the characters remember what the hell happened to them the night before, the groom is missing, there’s a baby in the closet, a tiger in the bathroom and a tiny Asian man in their trunk. Yeah, it’s a riot.

Make sure you see the Hangover before it’s out of the theaters, otherwise you’ll just have to wait till it comes out on DVD.
