A Nice Night Ride

Up until last night I had yet to take the new bike out at night. I’ve become pretty used to it so far so I geared up and headed over to Palm Beach (island) last night where there’s a really nice little spot along the beach where you can park but to my knowledge no one goes. There’s really no beach access and the wall you’d have to jump you probably couldn’t get back up once you made the leap. Regardless it was a nice escape last night and a nice little ride up the island.
I just kind of chilled there for about 20 minutes and took in the smells and sounds of the beach. The air temperature was also quite nice, no traffic at all just a really relaxing trip. The spot is only about five miles from me up the island at best.
On my way back I swung through City Place and it was loaded with motorcycles. Looks like I wasn’t the only one with the night ride idea. Of course those guys are probably hauling ass around town, I just wanted to relax and enjoy a rainless, cloudless night in West Palm Beach.
We Had Surf…Now I’m Paying For It

Saturday morning I headed out to Palm Beach with my neighbor Bryan and his brother. Solid North East swell and clean. Most were in the waist to chest high range. The sets were a little bouncy but it was lining up perfectly. A couple key peaks were outstanding but after a full day of surfing I seem to have tweaked the hell out of my back. Now I can barely sit anywhere for a long period of time and I can hardly move. So much pain in my lower back I can’t stand it. I have a small fracture in my L4 vertebrae that’ll never heal and from time to time my back just spasms out.
So for now it’s Alieve, which isn’t helping too much and ice packs. Man it sucks getting old. I’m sure it’ll pass in a few days but until then I’ll just have to deal with the pain.
Marisa’s on Survivor!

I know, to some of you you probably already know. My old friend Marisa Calihan is on this season’s Survivor. I’m sure you’re excited, Mom! My mom’s been a huge Survivor fan for years so I’m sure she’ll be keeping a close eye on everything.
Marisa has a Facebook Fan page as well so head over there and become a fan! Of course she’s not allowed to tell us anything about the season but I’m sure we’re all rooting for her.

Looking for Freelance Web Design Projects

Looks like projects are beginning to slow down so I wanted to put out a call for assistance so to speak. Any leads or freelance projects sent my way will be greatly appreciated, no matter how small. I’d be more than happy to put together a cost estimate for any web design / development project.
