Ah, a lovely rainy Tuesday morning after Christmas. I hope you had a fantastic Christmas break and if you’re lucky you have today off. If you’re like me and you don’t then at least next weekend’s not too far away.
My Christmas weekend consisted of eating, sleeping and watching movies. I did get a chance to go over and visit Ramil, Carmen and their new baby boy Rulon once again. Looks like I’m the unofficial Manrique family photographer but I don’t mind one bit. He’s a cute little peanut and I’ve never seen Ramil more stoked about anything else.
I also got a chance to see my old friend Dianna whom I haven’t seen in a while. She’s had better luck but she’s a tough one. As long as she keeps her head on straight she’ll sort it out (I hope).
Surf was up in Delray on Saturday. Well, up as in, 1-2 foot desperation session but the occasional 3 footer would roll through. Not too bad for a long board. Ramil got his brother Roy (who’s never been on a surfboard) out in the little stuff but as he soon found out, it’s not as easy as it looks.
The surf picked up once again yesterday a little after noon. I surfed it for about 3 hours since I found my “unlimited meter”. The south drift was horrible so I think I did 5 round trips on the beach. Walk back up and surf back down. It was semi choppy, semi mushy drifty surf but it was good to get in the water and wash off this holiday.
