Weekends by the pool, rummers and Corona light coupled along with grilling is what summer is all about. This weekend was a pretty good one. My neighbors and I pretty much spent the entire weekend at the pool and wrapped up the weekend with barbeque chicken, skirt steak, corn on the cob and asparagus all on the grill. Of course weekends like that make Mondays a bit slower but it was a good time. Hoping for more weekends like this one. ... Permalink

It’s been a long and stressful week but thankfully it’s almost over and time for the weekend. No real plans just planning on relaxing by the pool and hanging out with neighbors. Hopefully there will be some surf this weekend but I’ll have to find a ride since I ditched the Land Rover. The blog seems to be moving along nicely and I finally got the “Featured Image” thing sorted out so the home page looks colorful and more organized than just on image and a bunch of copy. Well, May is finally over and to be honest, that’s a good thing. It’s been a tough few months and now that the Rover is gone it’s time to start getting this shit back together again. I’m still trying to sort out what I’m going to do with this blog. Facebook, FourSquare and Twitter have kind of taken over the original purpose of the DamienKomala.com blog so it’s tough to be motivated to sit down and write what’s up on here. It’s been a long time coming but it’s finally time to get rid of this POS. It was a good run but from day 1 this thing has been a huge mistake. All of my friends told me, after the fact, “you should have talked to me before you bought that thing, man”. Thanks guys. The dealership agreed they’ll more than likely buy the damn thing back though I’m sure I’ll take a loss on it. As summer approaches it always leaves me wondering “what the hell happened to the surf”. We had a few good days this year but it seemed like when I lived in Delray my first year down here (2004-2005) we had so much more surf days. Months and months of at least two days at the beach, spending my evenings in the surf catching rides. My only consolation is the motorcycle. Yeah, you guessed it, when I don’t write it usually means I have nothing worth writing about. Right now I’m just tired. Tired of being broke, tired of my shit Land Rover, tired of worrying about taxes, money, long distance relationships, work, bills… just plain tired.
