Thanks, Dan for turning me on to this great little band. Little Lion Man, taken from Mumford and Sons’ acoustic bookshop session. Buy the album, ‘Sigh No More’, here: http://zaphod.uk.vvhp.net/v-v/090924115502 or on the iTunes Store via iTunes....

A while a go I recorded this little gem on my iPhone using the Suer8 video app. The film effect is pretty cool but the playing needs some serious practice…and my singing is not really what you’d call…good. Eh, but it’s something to post and share so here you go guys. Enjoy if you’re up for it. I literally learned this in about 20 minutes and tried to give it a shot on video. Bad idea…...

Damnit, and I was looking forward to hitting the concert this Wednesday with a bunch of my neighbors. According to their website: We are so sorry to say Kings of Leon are canceling their entire US tour due to Caleb Followill suffering from vocal issues and exhaustion. The band is devastated, but in order to give their fans the shows they deserve, they need to take this break. Unfortunately, the US dates cannot be rescheduled due to the band’s international tour schedule. At least I hadn’t yet purchased tickets, Matthew and I were just going to scalp a couple at...

I know, we’re halfway through May and I have yet to write a real post. Truth be told there’s been a lot going on but I’ve been too lazy to share. Between Sunfest, Cinco de Mayo and trips out of town it just seems I’m writing about the same stuff as last year. Sunfest was a blast. I only did two days this year out of five. Saturday and Sunday and to be honest, the Sunday was a long one. The two days afterwards dealing with the hangover was a key factor in my lack of writing. Lots of live...

This one’s called Winter by Joshua Radin. I learned this one for Trish’s Birthday and played it for her. I did record it earlier but she asked that I burn it to a disk just for her so I did. I really like the song so yeah, I re-recorded it. I did mess up a couple times but whatever, you get the point. Think I need some damn voice lessons not that it would do any good. Enjoy (if you can)....

I’ve been jamming out to Kings of Leon for a couple weeks now and I’m really digging their sound. Especially the new album, “Only by the Night”. One of my favorite tracks is Revelry; it kind of has a few different meanings for me but if you know me at all you’ll get it. Check them out here at KingsofLeon.com. Matt, I know you’ll probably give them a look, you always do. It’s not German Techno but I’m sure you may find it interesting at the least....

Alright, here goes. Probably pretty boney and a complete embarrassment but what the hell. The echo in my house makes it sound kind of hollow and yes, I’m no expert vocalist....
