One Sweet Love

Alright, here goes. Probably pretty boney and a complete embarrassment but what the hell. The echo in my house makes it sound kind of hollow and yes, I’m no expert vocalist.

Getting My Callouses Back

Posted on December 3, 2008

Over the last couple nights I’ve began the task of sitting down and learning a new set of songs on Guitar and it feels pretty good. My fingertips are a bit raw as I haven’t been playing much over the last six months but they’re getting better.

I learned a song by Sara Bareilles called ” One Sweet Love” last night. I recorded it on my little digital camera and it came out not too bad. I messed up at one point in the song but eh, it happens. It’s a bit too big to post up here in it’s current format so I’ll see if I can compress it a bit and let you guys listen in.

All right, off to work. It was 50 degrees this morning in West Palm….awesome.

The Kooks

Posted on August 7, 2008

I’ve been dying for some new music lately so in my search I’ve come across a great band out of the UK called the Kooks. What a great band. Kind of reminds me of the strokes but not quite a hard around the edges (Mom, probably not a band you’d listen to). One song in particular caught my interest and I’ve have it up here if it wasn’t for the copyright BS.

If you’ve got iTunes you can check it out there. The song’s called “Shine On”on the new album Konk. If not check out the Kook’s site.
