After staying in on Friday night (for a change) I woke up early on Saturday prepared to tackle my growing to-do list. There had been a couple things that had gone a little further past the deadline I set than I wanted to after a full day of errands I was complete. Man, that felt good. Mostly it consisted of running to the mall, returning stuff, mailing stuff. Yeah, I did finally return the Apple In-Ear Headphones and no they didn’t have anything there that would actually stay in my ears. Saturday night was a lot fun as a group of us headed down to Ft. Lauderdale to Celebrated Deano’s birthday. Hibachi dinner then down to Las Olas for a for a few cocktails. Happy birthday bro. Sunday was cleaning up around the house and vegging out on the couch. ...

Today’s Inauguration day for Barack Obama. My neighbors are throwing a little party around 6 or so. Not sure if I’m going to be able to make it but I’ll give it a shot. It kind of goes against the whole “not drinking during the week” thing but it’s a once in a lifetime event so… we’ll see. ...

It’s Friday once again and the weekend’s upon us, and we all know how much I love my weekends. At least the one I don’t ruin by hitting the bars too hard on Friday. No plans yet but my buddy Chad’s in town so at least I’ll have a wingman (sort of). One good thing is that there may be some surf though I may have to head up Jupiter once again to get it. No worries, I love it up there. We may also do some grilling, ah just like old times. We’ll see. So, enjoy the last day...

Geez, sorry for the lack of posts recently. Long weekends like that you’d think I’d be all over this thing but I’ve gotten lazy in my old age I guess. Post New Years – after suviving yet another mediocre New Years I finally got to surf on Friday, whoo hoo! Jupiter was calling for 2-3 ft but it was nearly 4-5 ft on a lot of sets. Kite Beach was bombing and all I had with me was the longboard. Which, as it turns out, was a bitch to get out past the breakers but after much work I punched...

I know, another bulk post that really isn’t very specific. If it wasn’t for the lack of site access I could have filled you guys in on my South Beach trip over Christmas week. Maybe some other time I guess. In the meantime, have a safe and fantastic New Years Eve! ...

Bill went all out this year and rented a boat for us to cruise down the intercoastal on our way to dinner. He even dressed up as Santa Clause, it was pretty cool. The photo you see here was taken with my iPhone on the trip to Sailfish. Drinks, etc, dinner was excellent and the ride was really cool. On the way back though things got a little rocky. Our captain actually hit a pilon/pole which should have been lit but for some reason it wasn’t. That was interesting to say the least. Drinks flying everywhere, little Nicole got kind...

First off I’m thankful for a short week. It’s only Wednesday but it feels like Friday, I love it. Not much planned for the glutenous holiday. This will mark the end of a five year tradition of having a turkey sandwich on the beach and surfing all day, which is pretty much the opposite of what everyone else is doing. Spending time with family in cold weather while I’m el solo on the beach surfing. I’m still checking the surf report as I haven’t totally given up yet but the forecast doesn’t look that good. We should have surf by...

What a fun day. Ohio State kicked Michigan’s ass once again this year. I had a few people over for the game, all of which are from Ohio. What a great thing! I made some Skyline Dip and one of my neighbors brought over some chocolate peanut-butter buckeyes. It felt like I was back home in Ohio. We even managed to break out the cards and play Euchre (yooker) at half time, it was awesome. I haven’t played that game for 10 years. I wish I had more weekends like that. Next season I guess, haha. Here are the rest...

That’s right another Moonfest has come and gone, costumes and all. After spending almost two hours in the hell that is the costume store, it was almost time to get dressed. Right after the Ohio State game (loss) of course. Fun fun time, lots of photos and what not. You can check them all out here. It was a pretty good time and by the end of the night the memories were replaced by snapshots from the trusty Canon. Gotta love digital photos! ...
