Last night this shot was taken just before a massive torrential downpour in West Palm (from my balcony of course). Honestly I wasn’t really expecting this much of a temperature drop but here we go again. It may get into the 60′s later today, whoo hoo. I guess this is just the remnants of the huge blizzard cold front that hit the north about a week ago. Summer weather sure is taking it’s sweet-ass time getting back down here. Time to break out the heavy coats once again.

For the past few days I’ve been getting up around 5am for some reason. Well, I know the reason, I’m busy as hell and I’ve got to find the time somewhere to get the work done. So this morning I thought I’d take advantage of my early-bird-ness (is that a word?) and take a quick ride out to the beach to catch the sunrise. It was a nice little 30 minute break just watching the day wake up. This shot was actually taken with my iPhone. Not bad eh?

I’ll bet first off you’re wondering what the hell the photo above actually is. I just thought this one came out kind of interesting. I was in the process of trying to take some new portrait shots for my site, twitter feed, etc. when I thought a nice dark background would work. The only place in my house that can be used as a dark background really was my bedroom curtain. So I set up the tripod and put the Canon on a 10second delay. Set the light settings, aperture, etc and snapped the shot. The only problem is F-stop was way off and I’d surely come out blurry, so I turned and quickly opened the curtains thus creating the weird image above.
