The New 610 Clematis Website
The new 610 Clematis website is up and running great. There is still a few items I need to work on and I have to retake some of the photography throughout the building but overall it came out great. Thanks to the 610 Board of Directors for letting me spruce up out online presence. I love living here. To check out the new and updated website click here: http://www.610clematisstreet.com/  ... It’s Been an Interesting Week
I spent a half hour in the dentist chair this week for the first time in over 7 years. So yeah…that was fun but I had to get my teeth cleaned. I began a new project for the building I live in. Redoing the website to better represent our building and so far it’s coming along nicely. I wish I had more time to work on it but so far its been a nightly thing but it’s a big step up from what was there before. If you’d like to see the new site go here: http://www.610clematisstreet.com/ My Fisheye lens... Continue Reading

Rockwell Design Studio Website
After a day of waiting for new projects to come in from Washington I decided to spend the time waiting to finally getting the Rockwell site up and running. Loads of projects and a pretty basic design but hey, it works. There are still a few glitches to work out here and there but overall the day was not wasted. Not billable, but not wasted. Have a look and let me know what you think…..Rockwell Design Studio, West Palm Beach Design and Development Studio  ... Permalink

Rockwell Design Studio – I Finally Incorporated
I finally pulled the trigger and incorporated last week. It’s been so busy around here I haven’t had time to do anything with it (or update the blog for that matter). I did however get the full incorporation, corporate bank account and EIN which should save my ass come tax time. At least that’s what I’m hoping. All new clients and some old ones are all now going through Rockwell. After month, literally months of going over around 90 business names I kept coming back to Rockwell. It just rolls off the tongue and luckily http://www.rockwelldesignstudio.com was available. What luck!... Continue Reading

EveryonesJoe.com – An Art Exhibition for Cambodian Children’s Painting Project
Months ago I lost a very close and dear friend, Joe Politzer. He was very involved in the Cambodian Children’s Painting Project, a group dedicated to the impoverished children of Cambodia. Recently some friends of Joe contacted me and asked if I could pitch in and help out with the site “EveryonesJoe.com” and of course I said hell yeah. The name itself almost brings tears to my eyes as Joe really was everyone’s Joe. I don’t think I ever met an easier person to love (like a brother of course) than Joe. Anyway they have an event to auction off... Continue Reading

Looking for Freelance Web Design Projects
Looks like projects are beginning to slow down so I wanted to put out a call for assistance so to speak. Any leads or freelance projects sent my way will be greatly appreciated, no matter how small. I’d be more than happy to put together a cost estimate for any web design / development project. If you know of anyone thinking of starting up an online e-commerce business or just in need of a site redesign send them my way. Thanks for your help in advance everyone. If any lead opportunities need to see work, skills or online portfolio send... Continue Reading

My New Business Cards are In!
Yesterday after the gym my new business cards finally arrived via UPS. I ordered them from UPrinting.com and they came out great. Heavy gloss stock and at a good price as well. Not sure I really needed 1000 but hey, why not. It only costs a little over $30 for 1000, full color front and black back. Nice job guys. I’ll probably reshoot them once I get more time.  ... MyNameIsDamien.com – Site Redesign
With the extra time I’ve been spending more and more time updating and polishing my online portfolio site in order to increase my odds of actually surviving this economic downturn. The site is a primary means of gathering possible freelance clientele and/or landing a new position as a Senior Designer/Developer at a South Florida web design firm. The site includes examples of my work both in the design and development realms as well as planning and site maintenance projects. A full skill-set and resume are also included. There are still quite a few adjustments that need to be made to... Continue Reading

Busy and Thinking Positive
Whew, the last week has been busy, exciting and overall pretty positive. I must apologize for the lack of updates over the last week, my focus has been set primarily on getting things done, projects, personal projects and networking. Freelance estimates are out, projects are coming in and I’m happy. I’m determined to make the best of this situation and do more than just stay afloat. It’s time to do something really great with my life, nothing breeds motivation like necessity. So, in the interim this blog may suffer a bit as far as daily updates, but stay tuned on...
