I’m talking of course about the current economic situation. Just to give you an example of just how bad it is, my entire family is laid off. How’s that grab you? My Mom was laid off a few months ago, stepfather as well. My twin sister and step brother are also both back in the job hunting market and of course, yours truly has been laid off since mid May. That’s pretty damn bad. Thanks AIG! About the only bright spot lately is my gracious landlord agreed to lower my rent a couple hundred dollars during this time of turmoil. Thank you so much Audry, you have no idea how much I appreciate it. It was extremely tough to ask but I’m so thankful you understand. Well, at least it’s Friday – so we got that going for us.... I hate doing these negative posts but this one’s got me very pissed off. I recently blew out my desk lamp, which is a fairly expensive Ott-Lite VisionSaver desklamp designed to not put any undue stress on your eyes while working at your desk. So I ordered one from BudgetLighting.com as it was the cheapest place I could find online. The online order system said it was in stock and I purchased a couple. This was the 13th…. Sorry, just had to post this one. It’s been sitting in my “Blog Images” folder for awhile. One reason I wanted to post this, not that it’s really that relevant is I’ve recently broken down and tried a dating site…. and holy crap there are a lot fat people out there. I’m no political correspondent and normally I treat politics with a polite disdain towards the greedy and conniving bastards of government but last night I tuned into the latest address by President Obama and it wasn’t as boring as I thought it was going to be. Granted we’ve been listening to freakin’ moron for the last 8 years so listening to someone actually put complete sentences together was refreshing. You should all be terrified. Why, I’m not sure – we’re no where near Crystal Lake and it’s been over 200 years since the Salem Witch trials so I think we’re good. It’s not supposed to be 37, feels like 27 degrees in West Palm. That’s not how this works. It’s supposed to be in the 60′s, maybe the 50′s but not freezing. I’m breaking out the gloves and maybe even a scarf today, holy crap. What’s the world coming to when you NEED to wear gloves in South Florida? At least we have surf. Too bad I can’t go because I work till 6 every day. Just waiting for Daylight Savings time finally expire…. that’s not till March 8th. Hopefully we’ll still have surf then.... Permalink

Over the years I’ve had pretty good luck with my dry-cleaners. Only twice have they completely messed things up and once they lost a pair of pretty expensive pants but hey, I guess this world isn’t full of smart people like I’d always hoped [hope you get the sarcasm]. I go to Sunshine Cleaners, rather they come to me. Very convenient for sure, as they deliver my dry-cleaning to my building and pick it up as well so all I have to do is pay a monthly tab and drop my stuff off at the front desk in a nifty...
