This morning I actually broke out the ole’ suade jacket as the local temperature plumeted to a chilly 57 degrees. No real comparison to friends and family back home but people down here are already bundling up. Makes for a cool, crisp morning and I love that feeling. Wet suit weather is finally here. Bad neck tan lines, sore shoulders and sprints to and from the line-up for a warm towel. Winters down here really couldn’t be better. Mid 50s-60s in the mornings and mid 70s all day.
I’m looking forward to some surf this weekend as well, as a small swell is arriving this morning producing 1-4ft waves. Tomorrow morning looks like my best shot at making a go at it. The Ohio State game is on around noon so I’ll have to make my way over to Bru’s Room in Boynton to root against our old rivals the Michigan Wolverines with the rest of us Ohio exports.
So be glad it’s Friday, take a deep cool breath of fresh air and look forward to a good and hopefully eventful weekend.
