Well, it’s 1pm and I’m already back in the office. Yeah, the big storm fizzled out to nothing more than a tropical depression for Palm Beach County. The latest satellite imagery shows it to still resemble a hurricane and to be honest, the bulk of the storm hasn’t even reached us yet. It’s basically spinning over Ft. Lauderdale right now and doing nothing more than dropping some rain.

The bright side is I got to go surfing right after work yesterday. When everyone else was boarding up their homes and standing in lines at grocery stores and gas stations, I was out on the longboard surfing Delray with Ramil. Lot’s of great rides. Ramil and I were both on longboards so we sat way outside the lineups and waited for the big ones to roll through. Just playing bomb squad. Lot’s of nice drops and a handful of great rides…. and great beatings. Just getting the log through the shore break was a job in itself but it was well worth the effort.

So, today right after work I plan on hitting the beach once more. I packed the fish (6’3″ Seven SuperFish) for the day as I’m sure it’s going to be even choppier than yesterday.
