Late last week I decided to head up to PGA to pick up some tequila for the weekend when I was pulled over by a friendly neighborhood police officer. I was doing 38 in a 30, not too tough to do. He really just wanted to pull me over and make sure I had my motorcycle license. While he was running my tags and giving a warning I noticed something a bit funny with my front tire on the bike. I could see the fabric in about eight places round the sidewall of the rubber…not good. I probably only had a few more miles before the damn thing would have failed on my and my luck, it would have been on I-95.
So, today I headed over to my favorite motorcycle shop for a replacement front tire and installation. The guys over there, rock. Tire was only $110 and installation was only $40 so I was stoked all together it was under $200. When I blew my back tire I spent way more considering I had to buy the tools to get it done as well as the tire.
So, needless to say…I’m glad I took care of that one. The first few miles on the new tire felt weird though but I’m sure I’ll get used to riding on a good tire instead of a time-bomb.
