iFitness iPhone App Review

After using Health Cubby for a while on my iPhone it left me a bit unimpressed. You really couldn’t track your workout very well and to honest, I’m not looking to decrease my waist size dramatically or lose weight. I really want to get a better tone and maybe get a bit bigger so the weight thing doesn’t really make sense.

So I found iFitness which allows you to track all of your workout. Everything, and I mean everything.

First you set up your individual workout (at least that’s how I did it) by adding pre-entered exercises to each workout (ie. Chest = cable flys, dumbell bench, etc).

Then as you workout you just enter your weights, reps and record. It tracks all of your progress over a timeline as well. You can look up what you did on your last workout, yesterday, last week, last month and adjust your workout accordingly. Hell it’ll even email you a complete CSV of all of your past workouts if you want to track it via Excel or some other program.

Overall it’s pretty complete. There are few missing exercises but it allows you to add them in manually. I’ve only begun using it and just like every iPhone app, it doesn’t work if you don’t use it.
