Hello warpath! What the hell man? I just got a call from Simon the mechanic and it’s going to be another $500 on top of an already expensive bill to get the Jeep up and running again. He now says that there is water in the transmission and he’s got to charge me another $35 to flush that… and because the water’s been there for a while a few parts are pretty rusted and corroded. Mother fuck! That’s it, when and if I get the bastard back I’m getting rid of it. It’s also costing me another $40 a day for a damn rental car so that’s always fun. If I have to spend another dime on this thing I’m towing to another body shop… no more surprises, no more additions, no more time. That’s fucking it!

He did say he’s got a guy who could have a rebuilt transmission and he’s trying to see if he can just get that and put it in at no extra cost. He’s not charging me extra labor but man, a $500 addition to the $900 estimate is no small markup. I hate mechanics.
