Not Much Going On

Yeah, quite an exciting title, eh? The surf is around knee high right now and should (hopefully) continue through the weekend as Helena sends some minor swell our way. Delray’s already breaking but I doubt I’ll be able to get to the beach today. If the weather keeps looking like it does this morning it’s going to be a great weekend to be outside.

Freelance opportunities have been popping up like crazy lately and yeah, it’s a good thing. I can always use the extra money and most projects don’t take too long to complete. I like little projects from time to time because it’s tough to get a large project rolling when the only time you can devote to it is after work. And after work is “surfing and lounging” time, so there’s the conflict. Haha. I’ve actually got a meeting with some guys I met over the weekend this afternoon which could turn out to be a pretty consistent source of freelance opportunities. Good thing because the condo’s getting expensive to keep. Hurricane assessment fees, special assessments, property taxes and the ever present home owners association fees. It’s enough to make you want to go back to renting and just saying fuck it. Home ownership is overrated.

Good news about Roxy (and this is the one that puts a smile on my face). Her stomach didn’t turn and she’s doing much better now. The vet just doesn’t want her eating raw hide any more because it tends to, well, stop her up. If you get my meaning. I’m so happy to know that she’s going to be ok.
