May’s Finally Over

Well, May is finally over and to be honest, that’s a good thing. It’s been a tough few months and now that the Rover is gone it’s time to start getting this shit back together again. I’m still trying to sort out what I’m going to do with this blog. It’s Cinco de Mayo Once Again

Of course you’re probably aware it’s one of my favorite party days of the year. This year Rocco from Rocco’s Tacos actually gave me a free ticket on the roundtrip bus to all south Florida Rocco’s locations. The tour starts in Boca, then to Ft. Lauderdale and finally back to West Palm so I’m hopping the train down to Boca this afternoon. I’m sure it’s going to be a “shit show” but hey, it’s Cinco de Mayo. Getting Rid of the Land Rover

It’s been a long time coming but it’s finally time to get rid of this POS. It was a good run but from day 1 this thing has been a huge mistake. All of my friends told me, after the fact, “you should have talked to me before you bought that thing, man”. Thanks guys. The dealership agreed they’ll more than likely buy the damn thing back though I’m sure I’ll take a loss on it. Good Morning Flordia….Where the Hell is the Surf?

As summer approaches it always leaves me wondering “what the hell happened to the surf”. We had a few good days this year but it seemed like when I lived in Delray my first year down here (2004-2005) we had so much more surf days. Months and months of at least two days at the beach, spending my evenings in the surf catching rides. My only consolation is the motorcycle. Server Issues

So, as you can probably tell by visiting the site in last week or so I’ve been quietly dealing with server issues. Most of which came about after updating to WordPress 3.1.1 and adding a plug-in called JetPack. Big mistake, especially when running a handful of WordPress sites on the same server cluster. Hopefully the issues have been alleviated but only time will tell. Thanks to the guys over at EZ-Web Hosting for getting it sorted out and rebooting my server when I couldn’t even get access to it. Shit Gets Worse

After a pretty good morning, of course the day goes to complete shit. Got up early, grabbed breakfast at Panera and headed to the beach for a nice sunrise breakfast at the Wall. Got back to the office, worked for a couple hours and then, bam… no internet. My payment to Primecast was a bit late but it got there on the 1st of March. They had no record of it. Been Away Awhile…. Puerto Rico Away

So after a long trip back from Puerto Rico on Sunday I’m finally back in “normal” mode around here. For the better part of a month I was in the Caribbean once again. I went down for Valentine’s day and stayed till Sunday morning. Those of you who know me know why I went and for whom I went to see. This trip was a bit different than last time.
