After walking into the Apple store this morning I was unhappily greeted by a sales associate who informed me and everyone else waiting to get in that the so called “Genius Bar” required an appointment and if you didn’t have one you needed to make one. So I promptly did… for 2:40pm. Keep in mind I had been sitting outside the store since 11. Color me “not happy”. So I threw my laptop up on the counter next to a brand new one and started some online research (see comment on my last post). Turns out all I needed to do was reboot in safe mode and then restart. A simple question could have been asked and answered. Five freakin’ minutes is all I needed with someone to find the answer. Screw it I found it in 10.
Note to any Mac users who need some technical assistance: call ahead to your local Apple Store and make an appointment. If you have access to another machine (which I didn’t), look it up yourself. The Genius Bar at Apple may be smart, but they are not happy.
