I had a chance the other night to head down to City Place and catch the newest installment of Star Trek. A movie that, like the latest few Batman movies has high hopes of reinvigorating a franchise. In that, I actually think it may have succeeded.

Now I’ve never been much of a Star Trek fan, and really never watched any of the TV shows but I’ve sat through my fair share of Star Trek movies. This one is worth the movie ticket price. Loads of action, decent story line and talented cast add a stylish spin to an aging movie franchise. It actually makes Star Trek cool.

One aspect I really enjoyed was how it covers the back story of almost everyone from the original series, why they were there and how they got there.

Overall I’ve got to say this is a pretty good movie. Go see it for yourself.
