The Logos of My Life

I had weird thought lately, over the last 10 or so years I’ve come to depend on certain brands over any others. Brands that form and shape who I am and ultimately define me as a person. Well, define me to people who don’t know me at least and I’m just as guilty as you are. Most of this realization came from recommendations from friends like, “what kind of camera should I get?” or “can you fix my computer/recommend a new one?”, etc. I always answer with the same answer, “I use this and I probably wouldn’t buy any other brand”.
I’ve always had Canon cameras and even though Nikon makes a good one I’ll never buy anything else. I had a bad experience with their main rivals Nikon back in 2001 with the Nikon CoolPix while working at Lange Wheeler Design Group and that was a piece of crap camera. I’ve never had an issue with a Canon.
I’ve always had an Apple Computer and I’ll never, NEVER buy a PC. Every time I’m asked to fix someone’s computer it’s always a damn PC loaded with crap. I rarely fix Macs and there’s a good reason for it. They don’t have as many problems (and there aren’t as many out there).
Gym attire’s always been Adidas, thick watches always Vestal, my favorite dress shoes gotta be Steve Maddens, every dress shirt I have is Banana Republic and there’s no better sound than Bose (office headphones).
So think about it – what brands define you? Everybody has them.
