After dropping off the rental car and paying $116.33 for the rental car I had to wait around for a ride to the shop to pick up the source of the trouble. Great, you’re going eight blocks away… you’re last on the list to get dropped off. And you’ll have to ride with a guy who loves country music… and probably isn’t the best driver in the world. After an hour of wasted time I finally make it to the repair shop to fork over another $1,535.95 for the transmission repair. Thank God it’s Friday or I’d be really upset… nah, who am I kidding, it wouldn’t matter. Dropping that kind of cash on anything but a vacation or a new surfboard (or both) is never worth it.

So this weekend’s gonna be visiting various dealerships looking at new vehicles to cart my ass around in (surfboards in-tow). I’ve got it narrowed down to two cars… the Nissan Pathfinder and Toyota 4Runner. Doubt I’ll be doing any purchasing but I’m going to give them a test drive regardless. I simply cannot afford another thousand dollar hit for the Jeep. It’s just not worth it.

Only a couple more hours and I’ll be on the beach riding whatever nature has there for me to ride. Just happy to be in the water.
