I made my way down to City Place over the weekend and finally saw X-Men origins. Excellent film and probably my favorite of the entire X-Men movie collection. It’s follows Wolverine and his brother Sabertooth through their very long and dangerous lives from early childhood, through every American war and up to the beginning of the Xavier School for Gifted Youths. You get the point.
One thing I was fairly stoked about was the fact that they did show Wolverine’s original claws which were nothing more than bones jutting out from his hands, as opposed to the adimantium knives we’re all used to seeing. Lev Schriber was fantastic and the overall epic story is worth the price for theater admission, if not more.
Guest appearances by some of my favorite originals such as Deadpool and Gambit are a major bonus, though neither character had a majorly significant role.
